Brazil will host its own Digital Learning Week from November 30 to December 2, at the Museum of Tomorrow (Museu do Amanhã) in Rio de Janeiro. The announcement was made in Paris, at a meeting organized by UNESCO.
By José Brito, journalist, founder of Pupa Educação Digital and teacher at the AI and Digital Education Lab at Colégio MOPI.
The Brazilian edition of Digital Learning Week will be organized by the UNESCO office in Brazil, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and with support from Rio de Janeiro’s Municipal Department of Education, with meetings between delegations and debates on the new contexts of AI technologies in education.
In this edition of Radar Pupa, the starting point is the change in how learning is assessed. Measuring knowledge only through exams and essays is no longer enough, and records of the learning journey itself, such as journals and process documentation, are gaining ground, along with learning rooted in students’ territories and life contexts.

Quote of the week
“We need to stay a little calm in a scenario of speed. We still don’t have a recipe. The effects of education are long term.”
Camila Achutti, W20 Brazil delegate, computer scientist and co-founder of Mastertech and SOMAS (free translation).
